Glastonbury Festival (Saturday 24 July 2000 - 23:35 PM)
LEFTFIELD are brooding. Their thing very much being the build-up, their strength, creating high drama from not very much at all. The field, teeming with the up-for-it, off-it and out-of-it-anyway, the drubbing begins. Hard, hard techno being their no-remission scorched-earth policy, it's with an eye to the pain that Leftfield show us pleasure. Immediately that lightstick looks rather out of place.
